so. we trick or treated at my mom's work today. the boys got *quite* the haul. plus cookies. and were, um, a tidge wired at bedtime. and having finally sent them off to dreamland, i swiped a box of mike and ike's from their stash.
and there was not ONE red one in that box. karma at work, my friends.. don't steal your kid's candy.
here are my crazy boys... PRE sugar high, mind you. not that i could get them to sit still even then...
for the record, the percentage of people who were able to identify the boys' costumes was fairly low at grandma's work. guess they don't let those lawyers out often enough... or maybe they have better things to do than play video games...
on november 4th at the hamilton county fairgrounds in noblesville, indiana, 150 scrapbookers are cropping to raise pledge money for the susan g komen breast cancer foundation. they are also hosting a craft fair, garage sale, and silent auction to benefit their cause. i was honored to be asked to contribute something to the auction, and am sending off this quote page / wall hanging tomorrow. breast cancer is a topic that has hit a little too near to me lately, as friend stef is currently waiting her upcoming biopsy & test results. please keep her in your thoughts and prayers in the next couple weeks.. i know she's been on a rollercoaster lately. =(
if you are in the area and would like more information about the event, leave me a comment or send an email and i can get you to the right people. =)

becca is such an amazing woman... the dedication and effort that she put into the august walk for JDRF and now this event is just mind boggling. so happy to see her rewarded w/ the spirit of JDRF award. it was so well deserved.
*friday bagel dates *hitting the library for some homeschooling books *another movie night - wallace & gromit shorts from netflix *alex sleeping through the night in his own bed for the first time since before school started *a new banner *my new project runway addiction
and on the scrappy side of life: *a clean desk *new imagination project goodies *getting the HOF book, Nov CK and Oct ST. happy scrappy reading. *the box en route to me from american crafts *hearing what's in the nov scrapologie kit.. SO can't wait
so. we're officially homeschooling for now. and by "officially" i mean flying by the seat of my pants w/ some guidance from some friends who have been there and done that. hoping to find a groove soon. and that we can eventually get him into a montessori program. but first, we have to get alex back to being alex.
the october kit went up over at scrapologie - so love this kit. scenic route, heidi swapp & 7gs... can't go wrong there. i think the kit is sold out but there are still awesome supplements available. cool stuff. and it's obvious that school drama was on my mind when i was doing my LOs, since they all relate back to it. *sigh*
we had a crazy 90 degree start to october.. but the temp dropped down into the 60s today. feeling fall-y. had lunch w/ my girls yesterday. have a playdate with holly and her littles today. just got back from the library. feeling relaxed. it's a good feeling.
