it's live, in all it's loveliness. i told you it was beautiful, didn't i?? as i said before, i got the main kit as well as all three add-ons - linens and lace, trinkets & knick knacks. i even got more patterned paper and more add-on patterned paper - there were so many good pieces in this kit and i knew i'd use these pieces for other assignments. plus, i have a serious october afternoon addiction!!
(granny's cupboard + knick knacks. fiskars apron lace punch - the ek scallop border punch is similar. journaling lines stamp. mustard seed ink. tiny attacher. fiskars M and XL twinkle twinkle punches. fiskars star hand punch)
knick knacks is the most boy-ish of the three add-ons this month - i was drawn in by the pink paislee tape and the making memories felt stars. it also had a nice little taste of the basic grey basics paper, which comes in kraft, manila and white. love. aaaaaaaaaanyways. 3 photos - 2 4x6s, 1 5x7. that's a whole lotta photos for me! i color popped the main photo and then used a vintage action on the other two, just to make that main pic stand out, because i loved it so. when i started this page, i thought i'd go bright and funky - but i loved how the photos looked against a softer palette, so i ran with it.
as i was flipping through pics, i noticed these three. they were all taken in the span of about 6 weeks. and when you think about it - well, it blows my mind. 2, 7 & 9 years ago, these hands were tiny. the things they can do now are amazing. i love this page.
(pp + alpha from granny's cupboard, pp + stamps + felt star + chip banner & accent from knick knacks, sticker + photo corners from trinkets. pumice stone ink. tiny attacher. fiskars scallop sentiment punch. foam adhesive.)
yep. more baseball! i started w/ just the little swoop of banner in the top left, all the brown chip from the AC set. and then i wanted MORE. so i peeled some of them up and cut more little flags from pp and made the extra banners. and it makes me happy. =) i stamped the clouds on the white crate paper and then cut them out and attached them w/ foam adhesive over the cloud paper. also? apparently i was addicted to labeling photos w/ the OA alpha.
(pp and alpha from granny's cupboard. brads from linens and lace. pp and priceless sticker from trinkets. fiskars scallop sentiment, square & m twinkle twinkle punches. tiny attacher. turquoise mist. foam adhesive. photo label punch)
this is the only page i misted on. and i only misted on the alphabet. crazy. this page was a bit of an accident. i started cutting out some bits of the honeycomb pattern, intending to do something different with them. and then i dropped the piece of paper on my desk graph side up and loved the cut out bits. so i cut out MORE honeycomb (this is why you need more sc pp!) and then added it behind the cut out bits and stitched around it. then i added brads and punched stars, i stapled the stars w/ the tiny attacher and then gluedotted them to the page, so they pop up a tiny bit.
i am hoping to do more w/ this kit soon.. i want to mix it with anthology & the rubons for my NSD challenge at Studio Calico. you can find a list of the DT's challenges at the blog - mine is to scrap a photo taken with your phone. if you don't have a phone that takes pics, i'll accept a photo taken with your "on the go" camera. as i've said before, i'm doing a p365 w/ my iphone and loving the little bits and pieces that i can capture this way! i'm thinking of using these 4, but i have so many more faves - i might change my mind!
and now it's bedtime for me - i'm looking forward to spending tomorrow morning pouring over the DT gallery! i've peeked in and what i saw was gorgeous!
