with a little help from mcd's. holy moly. the first week of school was a whirlwind. we're sorting out fall activities & sports schedules - as of this weekend, alex started fall baseball. i'm teaming up w/ another parent to coordinate our school's walk-a-thon. i've started working w/ kelly purkey to keep studio calico's social media active and inspiring - totally loving it, but as with all new things, there's been learning curve issues here and there. sam needs to be potty trained ASAP (i held off till the boys were in school - it's easier when we're not running them around). just thinking about it all makes me need another diet coke.
i have, in the midst of it all, been scrapping. i've finally got a couple of sneaks for the september kit, back 40. i worked with the open pasture and free range add-ons - though i also got my hands on the much anticipated butterfly stamps from fresh cut (they match the MS classic and royal butterfly punches. seriously. could it get much better??). i admit that i'm still kicking myself for not just getting that addon - i love those jenni bowlin stars!
this one was my last page and is far and away my favorite. love how it turned out, and it fell together quickly.
(back 40 + open pasture + free range + stamps from fresh cut, broken china ink, turquoise and lemon mist, classic butterfly punch, apple punch, notebook paper punch, fiskars popup star & star hand punch, tiny attacher)
this page is 100% boy - i know we had some boy mamas who were worried this kit might be too flower-y, but this page is pretty graphic and about baseball, so i'm hoping that will help lay those worries to rest! and let's be honest - NONE of my 4 pages are frilly or flower-y.. that sort of thing doesn't fly around here. =)
(back 40 + brads & star sticker from open pasture + free range + pumice stone ink + fiskars M & L star punches & L block party punch + star hand punch + blue raspberry mist + tiny attacher + foam adhesive)
i also made a quick card once i realized that the white basic grey paper tape took mist quite nicely. i sprayed it with mist and then wiped away the excess, and it tinted the tape. cool look.
(back 40 + free range + pumice stone ink + 3in1 butterfly punch + bumpy road punch + tiny attacher + hydrangea mist)
and, as a reminder - here's the latest pink slip list for the SC stamps. remember, if you purchase just stamps midmonth, the SC crew will adjust your shipping to the actual cost - it's usually in the $2-3 range. get them before they're gone!
here's a few of my faves in action :
(doily border)
and yes, i'm hitting the diet coke as we speak. i stayed up late last night to finish up a few things so i didn't start this week *too* far behind. i also made a few lists so i have a better handle on exactly what needs to happen in the next three weeks - isn't it funny how much that can help?? here's to a productive week!!
(ps : i've gotten addicted to words w/ friends. if you have the app on your ipod / iphone, look me up - my username is gluestickgirl)
