one week done!! it may not be the FIRST week of the year... but it's finished. i didn't get started right when my project life kit came - i was too caught up in figuring out how i wanted to use it. i finally decided the heck with it, i just need to USE it. i started sticking things into pockets and choosing journaling cards at random and adding little bits. and i love it.
i'd say my time investment for each day was about 10 minutes. i already upload my photos on a regular basis, so i just had to find one i wanted to use and print it. i didn't have a lot of photos for the last part of the week - but i had a lot of STUFF. so it all worked out. i print at home (i have an epson artison 800), so it's easy for me to just print a photo and pop it in. if you don't, you could still pick a photo and make a note of where you want to put it, then batch print at the end of the week or month at your favorite developer.
i added a few bits and pieces from my stash each day - but it was all stuff that was out on my desk already. i'm not searching for the perfect shade of paper, just adding little things that make it more me. i'm thinking these studio calico days of the week rubs will be making a repeat performance in my album.
my favorite part of this page is in the top left corner. i intend to use this bigger journaling cards to have alex and ben add a little something to each week. a thought, a drawing - something about the week. i stamped the hearts from a january sc add-on with jbs spice tin ink along the side.
i love this instax shot, but sam keeps trying to steal it. he asked me to take it, and wants to keep it. i may have to replace this with a shot of him holding it. sigh. also - i couldn't remember if it was sorcerOr's or sorcerEr's (it's with an E, btw), so i didn't finish writing the word. and then i forgot. until i took these pics. better go fix that. ;)
i already know what i'm starting this week with - ben got an award at the pep rally on friday and didn't tell us! we didn't find out until we emptied backpacks this weekend.
happy monday!
