week 2 // january 7-13th : as i was putting away my last pages from 2011, i stopped and looked through my second album. and found that what caught me the most was the little stories, quotes and anecdotes. i kept that in mind as i was planning out my week.
i may have snuck a few of the new studio calico stamps into my spread this week. i couldn't resist them. there are so many that will be perfect for my album!
i love my cameo. i can buy a submarine shape & cut it out when the whim strikes. perfect.
when i put this together, i forgot about the portal card that alex had drawn. i found it when i was cleaning up, picked the least important journaling card, and swapped it out. and when i took the photo of ben, i was planning to include it for the week - so i made sure to frame it in a way that i'd have lots of white space to add the story.
i didn't have a lot of extra time this week, so i kept things fairly simple. i did sneak in some little accents like the handcut banners and the 3 boys diecut.
kid written journaling cards are my favorite.

happy friday!! it's more paper + stamps today.. finishing up some cha assignments. then i need to work on my first memory keeping monday video for 2peas (SO nervous!!!) and work with the feburary kit from studio calico - it's going to be a veeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrry scrappy weekend. =)
