there's this moment on christmas when all of the planning and considering and shopping pays off. the moment where they open a gift and you get the reaction. the one that makes it all worth it. and this was one of those years where i managed to catch it on film.
a valentine's line is the perfect starting point for a christmas layout, right? ;) i thought the reds and pinks in basic grey's kissing booth were just enough to set a merry tone, and grey accents + mister huey's shine helped reinforce it. the design here is pretty basic - i just arranged my photos + mask, and then added rows of punched stars + brands and buttons to accent.
that's kind of a crazy looking supply list, isn't it? i'm glad it worked out on the page, because it really doesn't look like it would all go together. you can read more about this page over at the basic grey blog.
i've got some fun news - amy tangerine did a collection of hand stitched tags for 2peas! i've got a couple in my hands already and couldn't resist working one into a project life week. i'm *hoping* to have week 3 finished and posted tomorrow, but here's a little peek in the meantime.
happy tuesday!! sam and i just got home from running errands. i'm trying a different type of primer and hoping it will stick to our upstairs woodwork - the first one didn't. i do.not.want.to.sand.it.all!!! please cross your fingers that this works.
