i was scanning through my fall photos from the last few years, and when i came across the one of 2009 sam, i had to stop and flip back to 2011. and yep. same little pointing finger, both years. this boy knows what he wants when it comes to pumpkins. ;) totally love these photos each on their own merits, but having them together on a page is just awesome. if you want to see how this page came together, click on over to 2peas and watch my memory keeping monday video. =)

happy monday! after a weekend of gorgeously fall-ish weather, we're looking at 90 today and 97 tomorrow. ugh. i'm ready for cardigans and soup, dang it!

when i went to get the mail yesterday, i found a rather full mailbox. my boy sent me 15 anniversary cards. does it get much sweeter?

i said i do. and i'd totally do it all over again. we've changed a lot since that day, but i'm still the luckiest girl in the world. =)

kristina divided and conquered

i was over the moon excited when kristina (aka pea1 at 2peas) told me that she'd be using my divide and conquer workshop to put together a mini album of her family's disney trip. i've had mad love for K's work for a long, loooooooooong time and couldn't wait to see what she'd do with the concept!

 

her album totally rocks. those triangles???? swoon. her details and fun doodles are absolutely amazing. and i love that she had the whole trip recorded not that long after they got home! you can see it all on the 2peas blog - there are four posts covering it. if you start here and keep hitting next, you'll see the whole series. 

i put a lot into my own divide and conquer album - and the workshop - so it's always gratifying to see other people using the concept and hearing that it works. so much, in fact, that there may just need to be a part two. what do you think about that?? ;)

three boys. three schools. three schedules. we're in for an interesting year. =) sam started back this morning, so now the fun really starts. =) the photo above is each of the boys standing on their school on a map of omaha at the durham museum. they're a little spread out across the city!

i've got a challenge up on the studio calico blog this week - i hope you'll all join in! lately, i've found myself drawn to scrapping photos within days of them being shot. there's just something about getting it all onto paper while it's still fresh in your mind! for this page, i started with studio calico's heyday line and then brought in a few bits and pieces from the style guide and roadshow addons (can you believe that they're both still available???). sam was a little nervous about his new school this morning, and i'm glad that i have this layout to remind me that all is good!

happy tuesday!! i've enjoyed the quiet this morning.. it's been a long time since i've had uninterrupted work time! no breaks to play legos, no stopping to mediate fights, no one has asked for a snack.. gotta love it. that being said, i miss my little sidekick and am glad it's almost time to go get him. i promised him mcd's for lunch and some quality lego time when he gets home!
