confession

We have spent the better part of the last week in PJs. We have also spent too much time playing video games. And the tree is still up, with presents that need to be put away under it.

It's been the best way to spend the last week of winter break. But tomorrow..  back to reality. Bye bye tree, bye bye mess, hello 2014, for real.

hello 2014

We sent 2013 off quietly, as we always do. There were appetizers for dinner, classic movies (ahem - Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Big Top Pee-Wee - a far cry from the classic movies Matthew and I used to watch on New Year's Eve before there were boys), and, of course, our favorite tradtion of all. The boys piled their beanbag chairs and all of their blankets and pillows in the living room, and spent the night by the light of the christmas tree.

2014 started rather early, despite their 1am bedtime. ;) Funny how that works. We're starting the year with football (and a bit of yelling at the tv), Minecraft and Legos, Pinterest and planning. It's like every other day - but with a lot more possibility.
